Welcome to Konkans Ireland
Konkans Ireland was formed in late 2006 with a few Konkani speaking families who had migrated to Ireland from India. The main ideology of this community coming together was for these families to not miss their loved ones back home and also to introduce and educate their children of the rich Konkani culture by celebrating important festivals like Easter, Nativity (Monthi fest) and Christmas every year in a way it was celebrated back home in India. With a view to preserve the culture, Konkans Ireland would give the younger generation of these families an opportunity to experience their rich Konkani culture even when growing up in Ireland.
